System Design Work Groups

The task of developing the design for an early learning system is the responsibility of the Solutions Group’s six system design work groups. Each work group has approximately 12 to 15 members, up to one-third of who will be Solutions Group members. Other members were selected based on the need for input from individuals who bring diverse perspectives, experiences and technical expertise.

The six work groups and their co-chairs are:

• Governance and Accountability
co-chaired by Mark Real and Jacqui Romer-Sensky

• Financing
co-chaired by Diane Bennett and Mark Sniderman

• Involved Families, Informed Public
co-chaired by Kim Christensen and Troy McCollister

• Linkages and Coordination with Related Systems
co-chaired by John Kinsel and Billie Osborne-Fears

System Design Work Groups Send Draft Recommendations to the Full Solutions Group

On May 23-24, Solutions Group members reviewed and debated a set of draft recommendations generated by the six work groups. Those draft recommendations are summarized in the document below.

It is important to note that numerous changes were made, so this May 23-24 document is no longer current. Members of the System Integration Committee and staff are currently preparing revised recommendations, which will be reviewed by the Solutions Group on June 21. These revised recommendations will be posted on this Web site when they are available.
